How do i download songs onto a ipod with only a ipod charger?

My ipod usb cord broke the 1 that comes with the ipod when you first buy it & i went to go buy a new one, i got home & when i tryed to download songs on my ipod it said on the usb cord with a little sticker only to charge ipod,i know how dum. So my question is how do you download songs onto a ipod using only a ipod charger?

1. I don't think you can unless there is some way to connect it to the PC.
2. Well if you can still charge it then you should still be able to plug it up 2 the computer
   
   Because my charger needs a usb cord to get it going
   
   It is a square and you have to plug the usb part of the cord into it then run the other part of it to you ipod
   
   So if you can still charge it will probably still work!
   
   
   
   But if you can't then thier is no way of adding songs if it isn't connected to the computer
   
   
   
   Inless you have a ipod touch and you buy songs from the online itunes store
