Can you download music you already have on your computer onto an apple ipod or buy it from itunes?

I am interested in buying an apple ipod. But I was wondering whether or not I could download music onto it from stuff I already have on my computer. Or if you can only do it from itunes.

1. Yes you can do it from what you already have on your computer. You dont have to buy it from itunes.

3. You can load the music you have on your computer into iTunes to put on the iPod. You dont need to get it from iTunes.
4. Yes, you can. When you connect your i-pod to the computer you go to my computer and click on removable disk e and create a folder called music then you exit out of that and go to your music player such as Windows media player or dell juke box and click on portable device and put the music you want on the transfer window the you go to the safely remove hardware witch is on the bottom right hand side of your desktop and remove the i-pod.
